Understanding the EDI Role

Welcome to the course on the role of the Educational Deaf Interpreter (EDI)! In this course, you will learn why some Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students need EDIs and how the EDI is different from an Educational Interpreter (EI).

You’ll also learn what an EDI does in the classroom and how they help DHH students with language skills. By the end, you’ll understand how EDIs work with other staff to support DHH students.

Only EDIs may take this course.
