102 – Introduction to Curriculum

This course is offered by Deaf Literacy Initiative for practitioners and managers of Deaf and DeafBlind literacy programs, as well as those who are interested in becoming literacy practitioners. DLI 102 will cover the following topics:

understanding the purpose of a curriculum
development of the OALCF
features of the OALCF
deeper look into competencies and task groups
levels of performance and how to apply OALCF in your work

DLI 102 Introduction to Curriclum is the second course of three courses leading to the Deaf Literacy Initiative’s Level 1 Certification.

Prerequisite: 101 Introduction to Literacy
